Very Good Coverage of Country MusicBy Domenic DuranteI think this volume does a very good job of hitting on all of the major (and some minor) stars; in addition to many writers; producers and other contributors to the field of country music. The articles are concise; well written and often illuminating. And the photographs help; though some artists photos are not included. The downside is that many articles concentrate on certain segments or time periods of the artists; while almost ignoring other years of their performing lives. And as would be expected in a work of this sort; some artists are not included at all. Over all; I would recommend this work to any fan of country and folk music. Pop fans may also enjoy it; since it does include many crossover artists. Nice job. Wonder if an updated version is in the works?1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. I really thought for the Kindle edition it would be organized so you could search the book by artist or year or whatever. It really needs something either in the Table or Contents or in an index where you can click on an artist name and go right to the information on that person. I got the impression from the other reviews that there were small sections for each artist - there are not.Wish I would not have bought this book now - not worth it. Many people are simply not mentioned. For example; Tanya Tucker is listed; but her equally talented sister; La Costa; is not. Even on Tanyas page; her sister isnt mentioned. Likewise; Tompall the Glaser Brothers are included; but Jim Glaser (as a solo artist) is overlooked. Other discrepancies; but it is still informative."
