Unlike some other reproductions of classic texts (1) We have not used OCR(Optical Character Recognition); as this leads to bad quality books with introduced typos. (2) In books where there are images such as portraits; maps; sketches etc We have endeavoured to keep the quality of these images; so they represent accurately the original artefact. Although occasionally there may be certain imperfections with these old texts; we feel they deserve to be made available for future generations to enjoy.

There was no one quite like Charles Faudree; and Im an avid fan of his style. I just dont think this book captures his best work. Many of the photos are repeated from other books although this was not the last one written. Overall; the rooms seem too cluttered and fussy and not in character with his style. His rooms normally evoke a feeling of warmth and an invitation to come in and sit down. Sadly; not this time. My other books from him are lovingly used; with turned down corners and notes tucked inside; but this book is one Ill leave on the shelf.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Five StarsBy Jeri Tornebyexcellent book6 of 6 people found the following review helpful. another treasured Charles Faudree book for my personal libraryBy Eileen S.I found this book to be exactly on par with Charles Faudrees earlier books - his use of saturated color; grand rooms with a charming and cozy feel; lucious fabrics; accessories of beauty and occasional whimsy - all his signature work is there. Gorgeous photography as always and I love the shots of rooms from above and the format of sketches of rooms preceding the actual photos. And; as always; his beloved dog is in many of the room photos - not because he was placed there but because he loves to be in the thick of things! If you have enjoyed Charles previous books; you will love this one too. I find myself picking it up again and again.
