This facsimile edition of Bennett and Pinions classic work; first published in 1935; provides an invaluable source of information on all aspects of the slating and tiling industry. It examines the various types of roof coverings that were traditionally used; such as slates; clay tiles and shingles; and includes basic aspects such as sorting and holding states; through to more complex aspects involved in sorting and setting out a diminishing course roof; and forming swept and laced valleys. The book also looks at special roofing techniques relating to curved roofs and cupolas. It considers the care of roofs; discussing the faults which can appear; and why they may have occurred; and then how best to repair them.

I wouldnt have looked for a brand new one. and spent the extra money. I have already sent a note to about this. where they ask if they have left out any information. I have a library of Beatles books. and then some of each one of them separately. I had read somewhere that "this was a book to get"! It mentioned all of the pictures. and descriptions. and because I do enjoy reading anything that might be an addition to what I have. I thought this might be something I would enjoy. The pictures are small. and a lot I have seen; Its hard to turn the pages when they are so small. and the text is just impossible to bother with. If you do see a picture you are not familiar with. its too hard to read the text to find out when and where it was taken. This was published by Parragon in 2010. and Id love to know why they decided to publish this in this manner. At 5"x7". it would be like taking around a baby book to show your childrens pictures to your friends. I love the Beatles. and especially Sir Paul after the last 3 concerts I just went to. but I dont feel the need to carry his pictures. Dont waste your money on this one!0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Maybe go for the E-book instead?By Jeffrey ByronI wish the book was larger or spiral bound. Its a little hard to keep open while playing. Its good for traveling and fits in my uke case. which is nice. I also wish that the chord chart diagrams were repeated throughout the songs. rather than just at the beginning of each. You have to learn all the chords first. or else have to refer back to the charts as you play. Not great for sight reading.Maybe the E-book is a better option. It does have a lot of songs though. which is great. I recommend Beatles books for any instrument because the songs are simple yet interesting. and most people know them.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful.
