The New Pink Floyd Signature Licks Book.By Michael cotnerThis being a new item with no comments yet; and me just getting it today and thumbing through it. I thought I would say something about it for people who are wondering. The book is filled with insightful details about the Band history; and for each song there are details as well including a deeper insight to keys and chord progressions. Theres no CD to rip but a code to use to download everything to a PC; and then I put it on my MP3 player. There are full band and slow demos which is nice. The list of songs is standard Pink Floyd which is expected; although it would have been great to add some other solos of songs that are not in other books and instructional DVDs; A Great Day for Freedom comes to mind. And there are many others that would have made this book stand out as different. The solo for High Hopes; is originally played on a steel guitar; and anyone whos heard Marooned would know your not going to be able to play that with just a guitar and an amp; so I dont see how those are going to pan out. I Love Pink Floyd; and David Gilmour inspired me to learn guitar but they did so much more than Darkside of the Moon and The Wall; and alot of their later music that is so incredible; is so largely overlooked. So theres a quick; basic; comment for just getting it. It will be supplemental for me to use with a couple of DVDs that I already have.
