The Big Painting Challenge

[PDF] The Big Painting Challenge by Rosa Roberts at Arts-Photography

Description

In this in depth look at hymns; Brian Wren explores the theological significance of congregational song; asks how music has meaning for its singers; and considers the importance of contemporary worship music. He argues that a hymn is a complex art form; deserving of recognition and study for its contributions to worship; education; and pastoral care.

The book was nothing revolutionary; although there was a couple interesting aspects that I enjoyed.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. it was funBy jane derbyshirenice to finally read some of Molieres writing. I have heard good things about him. Very interesting and funny. If you are looking for a comic play this is a good one. Moliere interned with the great Scaramouche.4 of 5 people found the following review helpful. Wonderfully fresh translationBy A CustomerBolt achieves with his translation of Molieres classic comedy what David Hirson did with his 1991 play; La Bete. While remaining true to the general language of Molieres time and rhyming couplets in iambic pentameter; Bolt is still able to sprinkle modern touches that make the comedy pop out even more. Bolts British wit sparkles through the French comedy; making for an enjoyable read as well as performance.Interesting; too; is Nicholas Dromgooles introduction; which makes some incredibly interesting points yet also keeps in tone with Bolts take on Molieres commedia dellarte-influenced School For Wives.Whether youre a fan of Moliere or a novice to his works; Bolts translation of The School for Wives is a fantastic read that keeps the comedy alive; even after 350 years.
