I currently take courses through Berklee and one of my professors wrote it. I would highly recommend it if you are serious about selling your songs or getting your music on the radio.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Made Me a Better ListenerBy book beach bunnyI like books like these because sometimes when I have writerrsquo;s block they snap me out of it. This book didnrsquo;t do that as much as otherrsquo;s Irsquo;ve read but it was still a really interesting look not just into songwriting but in the process of writing hit songs and the behind the scenes industry information about getting them on the air. This book also made me realize something that. as much as I like music. Irsquo;ve never really considered before. I do judge a song on the opening and almost always I know within the first ten seconds whether Irsquo;m going to like it. love it or change the radio station. So it may not help you write but for me it was the first book like this to actually really made me analyze songs that are already out there and dissect them to think about what makes them successful. Also it helps that the song examples that he uses are all well-known hits whereas in some of these books the examples are songs I hate to admit I never heard of and donrsquo;t even really like. So for a new way of looking at something I love (and an easy to approach and up to date style) I would totally recommend this book!0 of 0 people found the following review helpful.
