The only thing about the book I question is the use of the cover art. There are so many other more amazing drawings that could have graced the cover and attracted me to the book a lot sooner. Dan Gheno has been one of my favorite figurative artists for a long time. He has a masterful understanding of human anatomy and his drawings are eloquent; especially with the way some areas fade away. When you are trying to learn to be a good realist artist and dont have the luxury of attending one of the great realist ateliers in NYC; you go through many books; most of which are not of much value. This book; however; is one of the really valuable ones.
