Review
4 of 4 people found the following review helpful. More that the title suggestsBy Travis L WilliamsThis book really is instrumental in setting a groundwork and theoretical foundation for understanding memory and place. Particularly Michael Bowmans essay in this book along with the introduction by Dickinson; Ott; and Blair are the strongest of the bunch however the book is well worth the price. If you are purchasing this for a class; know the reading is accessible; and pay special attention to the introduction and observe their seamless writing style and outstanding organization of complex topics. I actually spoke with Dr. Blair last night and in her estimation much more scholarship can come out of writing about and studying places of public memory.
