HubbardIt was full of doodles and comments of varied artists which was good to read; not that much instruction or suggestions other than just looking and recreating. Wasnt too sure of the content of the book to begin with. Excellent Zendoodle Book for the beginner to the advanced artistsBy Jeannine CecchiniIm really liking the direction the new Zentangling books are going in. This books has multiple contributors; with many examples or their works; and steps on how they created each tangle on a tile. The best part of this book is that each pages has really good details for each illustration. First; is the measurement of the tiles; the type of pens used; the type of paper; followed by how each artist came up with the creative inspiration to do the particular image. Below that is a quote and here is an example of one: "Follow your heart; believe in your dreams and crate." UnknownI like that this book is for a beginner; intermediate; and advanced. Everyone can learn from this book. Plus; the steps shown have really descriptive direction on how the artist did certain things. Sometimes books can leave out steps that seem absolutely obvious to the author; yet; I struggle to figure out what an artist did and how I will create my version of it.Now the best part; this books measures 8 inches by 10 inches; it fits nicely in my art bag that I drag everywhere I go so I can do art if I have one minute to spare. Next; the book quality is beautiful with shiny; thick pages; great images; a good layout that I can flip to any page and look for the information I want to find. I feel less anxiety with this book because of the order and the layout. Where they missed the mark was no directory in the back showing the artists name next to every page they contributed to. What happens when I like a particular style and I want to look for that artist in the back of the book. Its essentially other people describing how they designed their black and white designs; often vaguely; ie; draw carefully and smoothly; or trace a picture of a lion in the center; or try out different ways to add the leaf shapes. Just be clear on what you want out of this book before buying.
