It would have been better if the author had indicated some creditsBy Yvan BretonThe drawings of Francesco Guardi are magnificent and most of those in the book are already knowned on the Web and more precisely at The Metropolitan Museum. The title mention 72 drawings; in fact; there are only 43 drawings and enlargement of some. Four of those drawings are not from Francesco Guardi but from Tiepolo; Giacomo Guardi or else; even the front cover isnt from Francesco but from Giacomo. It would have been better if the author had indicated some credits; the size of the drawings and a few comments. The only text is a single page Foreword and the title of each drawing (no table of content). A date on the majority of the drawings in indicated as 1712-93 which is the date of birth and death of Guardi. Isnrsquo;t it obvious that he did these drawings while he was alive? I guess that for this low price we canrsquo;t expect a better printed black and white quality either. But; it is still nice to have this collection of exquisite drawings in a book.
