I wasnt sure if it were a play. a story. fable. or what.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Kelefaa SaaneBy epicswisdomandliesI strongly disagree with the previous (two star) review. though this is clearly personal preference. African epics. when published in English. are usually translations of transcriptions from oral recitations. These recitiations are often done before a live audience that knows the stories very well. The end result. yes. is often repetitive or confusing to the uninitiated. But I found this particular epic to be a good read. less confusing than most. and I found the variety of ways the story was presented to be fascinating. Very enjoyable.
