This is a wonderful book about the man whose vision continues to shape this city. LEnfant emerges as a tempermental genius; but lets not forget -- LEnfant served with GW at Valley Forge and endured imprisonment and injury during the American Revolution. What a fantastically written book detailing the life of the designer of Washington; D.C. and the challenges the city faced from the very beginning.
