Fantastic bookBy michael N.I absolutely loved the book. I found it extremely informative and very well written. The book delves exclusively into units that had Long Islanders who served in the Civil War as well as what life was like on the home front. For many years I have attempted to find information on Long Islands participation in the Civil War and have had spotty results; This book has a wealth of information as well as period photos; woodcut engravings etc.If you hale from Long Island and have so much as a passing interest in the Civil War then this book is definitely for you.
