Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2014 im Fachbereich Kunst - Kunstgeschichte; Note: 1;7; Universitauml;t Osnabruuml;ck (Kunsthistorisches Institut); Veranstaltung: Ikonographische Irrungen; Sprache: Deutsch; Abstract: Die von Raffael geschaffenen Fresken der Stanza di Eliodoro; des vermutlichen Audienzraums des Papstes im Vatikanischen Palast; haben seit ihrer Entstehung fuuml;r viele Spekulationen gesorgt. Die Bilder zeigen historische Szenen; die durch das nachtrauml;gliche Einfuuml;gen zeitgenouml;ssischer Akteure einen Sinneswandel erfuhren. An den Wauml;nden seines Audienzraumes; der Stanza di Eliodoro; wollte Julius II. seine persouml;nlichen politischen Erfolge dargestellt sehen. Um das Vorhaben Julius II. zu realisieren; erfand Raffael eine auszlig;erordentlich komplexe Ikonographie bei der historische Ereignisse; wobei Geschichten aus dem Altem Testament und der Apostelgeschichte den passenden Rahmen fuuml;r das politische Programm des Papstes darstellten. Das Einflechten zeitgenouml;ssischer Ereignisse in das historische Geschehen sorgte jedoch gleichzeitig fuuml;r Irrefuuml;hrungen. Bereits die Zeitgenossen werden sich die Frage gestellt haben; welche Inhalte ihnen die komplexe Ikonographie der Stanza de Eliodoro vermitteln sollte.Was die heutige Interpretation des vielschichtigen Bildprogramms der Stanza di Eliodoro anbelangt; ist sich die Forschung zumindest in einer Frage einig: Die Fresken haben die politischen und militauml;rischen Erfolge Julius II. zum Thema; der den Kirchenstaat von der franzouml;sischen Invasion befreit hatte. Bei der Entschluuml;sselung der einzelnen Ereignisse gehen die Meinungen allerdings auseinander. Ziel dieser Arbeit ist es; nicht nur die komplexe Bedeutung der Wandfresken der Stanza di Eliodoro; sondern ebenso die Entwicklung innerhalb des Bildzyklus; die zum einen die politischen Ziele Julius II. zum anderen seine Erfolge thematisiert; herauszustellen. Besondere Aufmerksamkeit gilt dabei den ersten drei Fresken der Stanza di Eliodoro ndash; der Vertreibung des Heliodor; der Messe von Bolsena und der Befreiung Petri aus dem Gefauml;ngnis. Bei der Interpretation der vierten Darstellung ndash; der Begegnung Leos des Groszlig;en mit Attila ndash; werde ich mich mit einer Zeichnung aus dem Ashmolean Museum in Oxford beschauml;ftigen. Dabei hannot;delt es sich um eine Werkstattkopie der urspruuml;nglichen; von Raffael stammenden Zeichnung; die mit groszlig;er Wahrscheinlichkeit als ein mouml;glicher Vorschlag fuuml;r das Attilafresko fungierte.

The "original" Father Brown in "snack" form -- 24-7.By MaryThose. like me. who enjoy the British TV series will delight in discovering the original stories in book form. Once youve experienced the TV version and its beloved Father Brown character. its hard not to imagine the literary character any differently; but I didnt find that distracting or objectionable in any way. Im partial to having a collection of short stories on hand which are perfect for bed-time reading -- or waiting rooms. These are well written "mini-mysteries" with well-drawn stories that still manage to keep your interest and often. conveniently. reveal the culprit before you are called into the doctors office.16 of 16 people found the following review helpful. Father Brown. as the super sluth who identifies the clues as the stories develope.The expectation is that the reader will have an idea as to who. what. where. why and how things happened. Many of the stories are quite easy to figure out ex. The Eye of Apollo. some much harder ex.The Sign of the Broken Sword. but most are fairly entertaining. (I had a problem with one The Flying Stars; it was so boring. I couldnt finish it. That was the one disappointment in the collection.) G.K. Chesterson was a prolific writer. author. philosopher. etc. in the late 19th and well into the 20th century. This collection of Father Brown stories is is a good representation of his detective works. He leaves clues which lead you to the answer of the mystery. but he doesnt develope the characters very much. partly because the stories themselves are relatively short. Fun!By RyanThis was a charming murder mystery book. Each chapter is its own murder mystery short story. Chesterton has such a wonderful writing style and really draws you into the tale. Highly recommended. You dont have to begin by committing to the entire book since each chapter stands on its own. bit the writing style and characters develop by the end. Great read!
