I like to play the standard version of a Christmas carol and then transition into a jazz version. This book is very useful for this application. I believe that an advanced level of piano proficiency is necessary to get the most out of these selections.I would recommend this book just to get Steve Calderones interesting and unique arrangement of "Silent Night". Realize that they are VERY advanced; but very fun to play. I gave some to my piano students; and they loved the sound of it. I even played it for a couple of performances myself. Very catchy tunes if youre looking for a Jazzy Christmas performance. They include several Christmas songs so it gives you a variety.
