The Moment Of Movement: Dance Improvisation

[audiobook] The Moment Of Movement: Dance Improvisation by Lynne Anne Blom; L. Tarin Chaplin at Arts-Photography

Description

An unsettling look at British attitudes to America and vice versa; from one of our leading dramatists. The idea of Oregon; the word; just the word Oregon really thrills me. You cant help loving England. The green fields. The accents. The pubs. Set half in the UK and half in the US; Icecream tells the story of two couples - an American man and wife and an English brother and sister. Implicated in each others lives more than any of them would wish; their respective love affairs with each others countries prove difficult to explain.

She was one of the founding artists of the Royal Academy in London; a renowned portraitist; and a history painter as well. When she died in Rome; her funeral rivaled that of Raffael. This biography must include every scrap of information available on Kauffman. As a docent who is giving a talk on her in the spring; I am very glad I found this book!2 of 3 people found the following review helpful. Miss AngelBy Clarence B. DrennonAn excellent review of the life and art of Angelica Kauffman. It could have used more illustrations and a bit less of the "background"; but; given the intent of this 18th century artist to keep her life as private as possible; it was a good book and a good read.
