Steves years with Humble Pie are given incredibly short shrift; and what precious little Humble Pie coverage there is sounds almost dismissive in tone. The end result is that the authors come off sounding more like starry-eyed Small Faces fans than objective investigators or historians. Marriotts American fans would have been better served had the authors enlisted a third party who might have offered a better-researched; more thorough; and more thoughtful overview of the Pie years. For just such an account; I wholeheartedly recommend Jerry Shirleys memoir "Best Seat in the House." Mr. Shirleys outstanding book provided the window on Humble Pie for which I searched "All Too Beautiful" in vain.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Really all too beautiful!By Janken MyhrenA great story about a great singer and musician that should have been more appreciated and famous. I wish more young people would take the time to listen to his great music.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. you do not have to be a Marriot fan to enjoyBy PAUL HARRISQuite enjoyable and entertaining read;you do not have to be a Marriot fan to enjoy this
