Great little ebook to introduce Light to your child that is offered for free right now...By ElizabethThis ebook is cute and is a good introductions to "Light" for kids. It certainly could use some editing. For example: some sentences have periods and some do not; some of the sentences could be reworded; etcI do like this ebook if you can get it while its still free. This is a book that would be good to read to your child and then you can go into more detail depending on how advanced your child is. I would have liked to see a little more detail in the book. As one of the reviewers mentioned; the part where it says the moon is a natural light source. It would be very easy to say that the moon doesnt actually give off light but instead reflects the light from the sun.You can click "Look Inside" on the main product page and see the first few pages of the book.--------------------Here is my review for other Baby Professor ebooks in case you are in the market for ebook in this age range. There are about 200 books in this ebook series that are offered in the kindle store for either free or for .99cent;. There is a variety of subjects covered (like travel; transportation; animals; etc.) and most of the books follow about the same format. They usually have a picture on one page and a short paragraph with facts about the subject; then on the next page is usually just a picture. The pictures are usually quite vivid impressive but the information is normally lacking. You can take a peek inside the books by clicking "Look Inside" and this is pretty much what you get in each book.Overall; I do like theses books for their wonderful pictures. It would be nice if the books went into more detail but they are very basic books that I hope will get my kids interested in finding more about each subject. I think there is only 3 books that I didnt keep on my iPad; which are a couple phonics book and the creepy stories book. All the ebooks were offered for free to everyone at various times.I plan on keeping most of these books on my iPad for down time for my kids when they get bored waiting different places like the doctors office or practice for a sibling. I sometimes watch a friends 3 year old daughter and she likes to look through the pictures on my phone. I plan on showing her these books to keep her entertained. I think she will love them.***** I received this ebook for free in exchange for my honest review. *****1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Great for little scientistBy Jamie n boysLight is everywhere sources of light and its uses is a short e book for early learners. This ebook is 15 pages long and that does not include the title page. The book has roughly about 16 sentences and 2 questions. This book is short and sweet and to the point. It clearly illustrates and defines the differences between natural light and artificial light. Teaches early learners things such as "the speed of light is the fastest light" and light waves usually travel in straight lines called rays of light. Beside each information is a brightly illustrated picture. I think this is a great book for your young scientist I would recommend it for grades preschool through second. It is short enough to support a very young childs attention span but has enough information to truly be educational. As I have recommended with all these books I think the author needs to put a clearly defined end page to prevent any confusion. I find the blank white page at the end of the book to be confusing for a young child that may think its a problem with the device that they are reading it on or lead a child to think that they are missing pages. Otherwise I really enjoyed reading this particular eBook to my four year old; and it was short enough that it held his attention. I think he will probably understand the ebook information a little more when hes 5 or 6. I would love to see these short science ebooks in a collection. As a parent I would be willing to pay money for a collection of these small educational ebooks. The author did a good job breaking the science of white down for young learners. I think the fact that this ebook is available for free right now on is definitely worth the download.*****disclaimer I received this ebook for free in exchange for my honest review."*****0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. This is an excellent ebook for kidsBy rkreviewerThis is an excellent ebook for kids! As a teacher of elementary students; I would love to incorporate this ebook into a small group activity where I present a main idea or topic to the whole class and then they break up in small groups and discover more material on their own. My mind was continuously racing as I read through this book thinking of different projects I could make on this topic. It is the perfect age group to let them use a kindle to explore and what a better way to do so than with this ebook! I will totally let other teachers know of this opportunity and will keep this seller in mind with other ebooks available. I received this product free for reviewing purposes; however my opinions are all my own.
