Insgesamt nimmt die Anzahl von Lebensmittelgeschauml;ften in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland seit 1962 kontinuierlich ab (vgl. Abbildung 1). Dieser Vorgang nimmt insbesondere in den neuen Bundeslauml;ndern dramatische Zuuml;ge an; und die Abkopplung von der gesamtgesellschaftlichen Entwicklung ist in manchen Douml;rfern nur noch eine Frage der Zeit (vgl. Hofmann 1997 und Abbildung 2). Doch der von Haack proklamierte bdquo;Schlieszlig;ungsrauschldquo; (Haack 1996: 101) durchrollt die gesamte Republik. bdquo;Dabei stehen wir nicht am Ende; sondern am Anfang der Entwicklung; und deshalb sind alle Uuml;berlegungen; die die Entleerung des lauml;ndlichen Raumes betreffen; heute von so groszlig;er Wichtigkeit; um dieser Entwicklung gegensteuern zu kouml;nnenldquo; (Haack 1996: 101). In gerade diese Versorgungsluuml;cke stoszlig;en wiederum neue kleine Lauml;den. bdquo;Die ersetzen die Tante Emma; haben aber eine bessere Zukunft als sieldquo;; erklauml;rt Lothar Kempermann; geschauml;ftsfuuml;hrender Inhaber der Suuml;gro Weser-Ems (vgl. Neben einer besseren Zukunft unterscheiden sich die zuletzt genannten Lauml;den; die so genannten Nachbarschaftslauml;den; von ihren Vorgauml;ngern auch dadurch; dass sie ein anderes Konzept verfolgen und andere Kriterien erfuuml;llen muuml;ssen; um wirtschaftlich rentabel zu sein. Was steht hinter dem Konzept des Nachbarschaftsladens? Welche Aspekte machen einen Nachbarschaftsladen zu einem Nachbarschaftsladen? Welche Kriterien muuml;ssen erfuuml;llt sein; um auch in wirtschaftlich schwierigen Zeiten unter einem enormen Konkurrenzdruck bestehen zu kouml;nnen? Wie sieht die Zukunft dieser Lauml;den wirklich aus? Dieses sind nur einige Punkte; die ich im Folgenden untersuchen mouml;chte und auf die ich versuchen werde; Antworten zu finden. Der Leser soll einen Einblick bekommen; wie sich ein Nachbarschaftsladen definiert; durch welche Merkmale er sich auszeichnet und welche ouml;konomischen Kriterien eine bedeutende Rolle fuuml;r seine Existenz spielen.

Art book on a Kindle. maybe not for everyoneBy ACustomerI am adapting to technology just fine. although books and the printed page will always be my true love.I like the concept and content of this book a great deal. However. I am quite sorry that I experimented with it as my first art book for Kindle. because I recently saw the "real" book in. yes. a "real" bookstore. and this book was definitely meant to be paged through. on paper pages. and not "accessed" (In addition to my early version of a Kindle. I use the Kindle reader on another device that has great color. high resolution. etc....).Live and learn. I suppose at some point. I will find the book itself and add it to my bookshelf. Meanwhile. Ill scroll through the pages if Im killing time. but it is not as satisfying to me. personally. to see the work and even words of so many talented artists on a screen.This will be my first and last art-related book purchase for Kindle.
