The case studies are well presented and the examples are especially important for not just practitioners; but also anyone who sits on the board of a land trust. Somewhat dated at this point; but still a great primer on the financial side of land conservation and one of the more readable books on this topic. This should be required reading for all land trust board members!2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Good resource; but meant for small land trustsBy LynnetteGood resource; but meant for small land trusts. I was more interested in larger-scale financing for conservation (developing; managing and investing funds; working with investors); not so much fundraising. This was more about the latter.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Very InformativeBy VisionQuestressAnyone interested in conserving wildlife should read this textbook on how its done from the municipal and community levels. Very inspiring. I love this book; and I am so grateful for the hard work of conservation philanthropists everywhere.
