Description

Strategic Spatial Projects presents four years of case study research and theoretical discussions on strategic spatial projects in Europe and North America. It takes the position that planning is not well equipped to take on its current challenges if it is considered as only a regulatory and administrative activity. There is an urgent need to develop a mode of planning that aims to innovate in spatial as well as social terms. This timely; important book is for spatial planning; urban design and community development and policy studies courses. For academics; researchers and students in planning; urban design; urban studies; human and economic geography; public administration and policy studies.

Review
2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Bob Stinson and his dirty t-shirtBy Linda B.I read this AFTER reading Trouble Boys. and wasnt disappointed. Mr. Walshs book deals in short narratives and quotes from not just band members. but from those who knew them on a professional and personal level. And theres plenty of Bob Stinsonisms to only make you wish this UNBELIEVABLY gifted man didnt leave this world so soon.2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Just started it....By LLdematsAnd its terrific. Walshs introduction is great. and I wish hed have written more instead of turning the keys to the car over to people who know or knew the band members. Hes evidently a good writer. Im not discounting the fact that is is an oral history. I cant put it down. Theres so much wisdom in there. There was one comment that stood out to me. the person who said he listened to Springsteen and then when he heard the Mats Springsteen suddenly became irrelevant....or something like that. I could have said that because thats what happened to me. too. The Mats have worked themselves into almost every angle of my life. They were truly Americas finest band except for perhaps Guided by Voices. But thats another subject...Buy this book. It is entertaining and poignant and sums up and confirms what Mats fans knew the second the first notes of the first bars kick in.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Great. For Mats fans.By K. TekavecLove. A nice companion piece to Trouble Boys. The Bob parts at the end are heartbreaking.
