After the simple secret is revealed early in the book. the author gives clear examples of the principle. which are easy to understand. and to apply to your artwork. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to instantly get a basic understanding of composition. and perhaps from there go on to a deeper study of the process. To me the best part of the book is that there are small thumbnails showing what is bad and what is good. I absolutely love the showing of bad and good. This book showcases wonderful work from a variety of artists and the paintings are not just eye candy. the paintings are there to show you the concepts discussed. I do acrylic mixed media and also teach. I recommend this book to every class.Overall I cannot recommend the book enough. Buy it. read it. and practice it. And re-read it. mark the pages and use for reference. All my fellow artists that purchased this book declare. like me. this is a great book.
