I actually really enjoyed the illustrations before giving it to them. The mother said that they loved the book with the story and pictures. He added more and more each time. until he learned the whole thing. Then his Campfire group had a lesson over music. and Charlie was able to share his favorite song! I had found this book and gotten it for him for Christmas. so he had a gorgeous visual to accompany his "show-and-tell." That is pretty much it.
