Great read that covers scenes that I had never knew ...By Maurice AbbottGreat read that covers scenes that I had never knew about.New York and LA have been covered before; so it was nice to see and hear about the bands I followed in Philadelphia. It made me pull out my vinyl to listen to the Electric Love Muffin again. George also brings a true follower angle that I haven"t seen in many of the other books about the period. Goes up on my shelf next to Our Band Could Be Your Life by Michael Azerrad as my goto for the history of the American Underground Scene.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Great book. Good Read.By Kojak MomentVery well-written and informative. Being from the NY/NJ area and attending punk shows at venues there and in Philly from like 82-87 ; I could definitely relate to that time period of the book and it was spot-on-almost like being there again. Thank you.
