McIntyreEchoing the two previous reviewers; this was an excellent and very interesting look at Mansfield Plantation and the rice plantation "culture" of the Georgetown; SC-area plantations. While there is a fair amount of information about Mansfield Plantation itself; there is more written about the people who were directly involved with the plantation and plantation life; census statistics; etc. of the local area. This was fine by me. The book is fast paced and a great read for anyone interested in the topic.
