The only reason I bought this book is because I know that she was close to BeBe and CeCe and therefore the chances of reading a bunch of lies were slim to none. BeBe wrote with dignity and love and although I enjoyed the entire book. the funny personal stories are the best. Its so refreshing to finally read about Whitney in a positive light and more importantly as a regular person. People have this perception that being a star makes one immune to the challenges of life. and that is so far from the truth. Thank you BeBe for sharing a little of Whitney with us. In my opinion Whitney was the greatest and Im glad I was able to grow up listening to her music.3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. I throughly enjoyed this book about one of the greatest vocal singers ...By Terell D. AndrewsI thoroughly enjoyed this book about one of the greatest vocal singers to ever perform. His friendship was so vividly expressed throughout the whole book. I felt the sincere brotherly and sisterly love among the both of them. Very well written . I am so blessed to have picked up this book to read. Bebe is truly a friend that all of us desire to want to have. I love how he not only mentioned the accounts he had with Whitney but brought in his own personal advice and wisdom to this book . He had a right to state the things he did . he . himself . was also a celebrity and could definitely relate to the lime life of fame and fortune. Thanks again Bebe for such a great read. I am so grateful.3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. fantastic book on whitney houston!!By sunset*galas a huge fan of whitney houston aka nippy. i only want to read positive and honest accounts of her life. im not interested in a book just focusing on all her flaws and personal problems. she was no different than the rest of us. we all have problems. we all have bad days. etc. celebrities are no different than you or i.so i buy this book along with cissy houstons terrific book and bebe winans book was also a great read!! focusing on her positive qualities and what a great friend/sister she was for the past 28 years. [whitney even loaned him the down payment for his first house]. bebe also explains what its really like to be a pop star on her level and even on that level. you just cant please everyone. [for example. she was ridiculed in the mid-80s for selling out by doing pop music. his response: she didnt sell anything out except for arenas ;). i agree with him 1000%. theres nothing wrong with singing pop music and nothing wrong with singing beautiful ballads that appeal to everyone]so if you want a book focusing on the positive qualities of whitney. i definitely recommend this book. also. check out cissy houstons book remembering whitney.
