Unlike some other reproductions of classic texts (1) We have not used OCR(Optical Character Recognition); as this leads to bad quality books with introduced typos. (2) In books where there are images such as portraits; maps; sketches etc We have endeavoured to keep the quality of these images; so they represent accurately the original artefact. Best books I ever bought on the subject of audio recordingBy Ronald Benoit Jr.This book is a fantastic read for those in the need for information on producing. It was so good I gave it to my son who is now in college studying to be a music producer. I started reading from this author with the Recording Engineers Handbook and followed it up with this book. I also bought the Mixing Engineers Handbook. Great books for home studios to use and for the pros. The best money I ever spent on books for this topic. He uses simple terms and language to understand.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Great description of what a record producers function in the recording processBy R. ManigaultThis book and s a very well written guide into the world of music production. I was astonished when about a year ago a young artist referred to a producer as someone who comes up with beats for a Hip-Hop song. I knew better than that. Bobbys down to earth and easy to read approach to writing made the subject matter both understandable and enjoyable. For anyone who truly wants to know what a producer does I highly recommend this book.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. More for the would be pro than the home recorderBy David BaronThis is more about the business side of being a producer on the technical side.i.e. Managing budgets and such. I knew that going in. That said there are some good general takeaways for people who are "producing" their own music. The stuff on pre production and arrangement are applicable in any situation. However; if youre an artist producing your own music in a home or project studio; youd get more out of Owinskis mixing engineers handbook; which is excellent.
