The selections are great; and the activities are good for both skill practice and critical thinking. Kids love looking at music as poetry--it really increases engagement. So glad I got this book.3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. Hip Hop Teaching ResourceBy RyanThis resource is a terrific way to help students connect wih the various literacy techniques associated with figurative language. The author provides lessons for the teachers and worksheets for the students as well. Most interestingly; the author has combined classic and modern hip hop poetry samples in the exploration of literary techniques. I believe that this resource will serve me well with my middle school students!0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Great reasourceBy laurie mcdanielGreat way for my kids to "get it."
