I wasnt sure what I would think of the book until I actually opened it up and looked inside. Rob Parkinson does an outstanding job of elaborating on not only the fundamentals of storytelling. but also captures the psychological impact of a good story. Through the many stories presented throughout the book he goes into detail about how interpreting narratives is a fundamental trait of being human. In other words. we listen to stories not only for their entertaining qualities but to help bring new meaning into our own lives. An effective story can then create change within a person to try new things and develop new perspective in the world around them.2 of 2 people found the following review helpful.
