Tutto all'improvviso. La vita che cambia (Italian Edition)

[audiobook] Tutto all'improvviso. La vita che cambia (Italian Edition) by Luca Colombo in Arts-Photography

Description

Nestled in the foothills of southeastern Washingtons Blue Mountains; Walla Walla has been a center of commerce and culture since its founding in 1862. Earlier; the Walla Walla River Valley was the site of Indian rendezvous; Marcus and Narcissa Whitmans mission; and British and American forts and trading posts. The new city prospered as an outfitting center for nearby Idaho goldfields. Capt. John Mullans military road provided a route for miners and new settlers coming to the valley. Merchants like the Schwabacher Brothers and bankers Dorsey Syng Baker and John Boyer tapped into the citys growth; which expanded as wheat became the new gold. Home to Fort Walla Walla; the city welcomed Whitman College; Walla Walla University; and the territorial penitentiary. Today; the revitalized downtown and burgeoning culinary and arts scene are popular tourist destinations. Walla Walla sweet onions are nationally known; and more than 120 wineries call the valley home; from Figgins familys pioneer Leonetti Cellar (1977) to football legend Drew Bledsoes Doubleback winery.

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Terrific Resource for CreativityBy Albert J. DaValle Jr.This is a terrific book for any photographer/artist who admires true artistic creativity and craves inspiration. Thom is a master who continues to accelerate the advancement of his art year after year. This is not a how-to or Photoshop book. Rather; it is a book that provides building blocks of ideas to take your art to the next level. I pretty much can guarantee most readers wont be able to get more than 10 pages into the book without going back to his/her camera and computer to begin taking your work to new levels. This book will have a long shelf life. It will not become obsolete with changing camera and/or computer/software technology. You will be able to keep it as a permenent part of your photography book collection as a resource for ideas and inspiration for years to come.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. A solid view into a creative imagers mindBy Bob CoatesText in this book reads as if Thom is talking directly to you. He shares his inspiration; along with trials and tribulations; during the shoot and post-processing. While this is not a book to teach you techniques in Adobe Photoshop where he does most of his processing; there are many important concepts shared. Ive found a number of ideas that I cant wait to try out in my work.Is this book for everyone? Heck no. But most books are not. This is for photographers pushing their work to new realms of art. This is for photographers looking for inspiration. This is for photographers who understand that the nude has been part of the fine art landscape over the millennia. Its for those who want a peek into the mind of a creative person who has studied fine art painters and can share concepts behind the why of an image.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. been to his programs and workshops and I was so happy to see him finally hit the market with a ...By CustomerIve known Thom Rouse for many years; been to his programs and workshops and I was so happy to see him finally hit the market with a book.
