Unfinished: A Guide To Dream; Complete and Repeat Your Life's Work

[ebooks] Unfinished: A Guide To Dream; Complete and Repeat Your Life's Work by Jason Smithers at Arts-Photography

Description

The Le Corbusier Guide presents the architecture of Le Corbusier. The focus is on Paris given that it is his adopted city and the place where he came of age. Within its environs is a representative sample of his built work. It contains most of his purist houses; and an early foray away from the crisp surfaces of Purism. This itinerary follows the outlines of Le Corbusiers lifes work. Beginning at his birthplace in La Chaux-de-Fonds; Switzerland; the route continues to Paris; to the perimeter of France; and finally to the international scene architects; architecture; Paris. Also presented are Le Corbusiers work in Switzerland; Belgium; Germany; Italy; United States; Argentina; Brazil; Tunisia; Iraq; Japan; USSR; and India. The itinerary includes not only the buildings but also the process of getting from one to the next. On the ""open road"" it is a pleasure to remember Le Corbusiers own joy of self-propulsion in the automobile; efficiency; and speed in the train; and the thrill of flight as he experienced it with the poet of flight; Antoine de Saint Exupery. All these mimetic pleasures are ancillary to the experience of the buildings in situ in their complex relationship to local landscape; national spirit; and international vision.

Complete and Repeat Your Lifes Work. Im not much of a reader. although I like what I get out of reading. I really enjoyed this book for the simple fact that it encourages you to take action instead of trying to explain to you why you should take action. Many books Ive read take one topic and dive into it deeper throughout the entire book. where as this one is more about giving you the Cliffs Notes on the entire process to keep you moving!0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Quick. Fun Read. Inspirational. Practical.By WadeI felt like I read 5 books in one with Jasons great writing style. This feels great reading because there are good natural pauses that help you to reflect about what you just read. He is extremely encouraging for you to be more creative and really allow yourself to explore your creative side. I have never seen myself as a creative until really reading this book and embracing it. I had an idea for a book but did not want to share it with anyone out of fear that it would be rejected. but Jasons words inspired me to share it and Im glad I did!
