There are about 200 books in this ebook series that are offered in the kindle store for either free or for .99cent;. You cant really go wrong with the books offered for free. There is a variety of subjects covered and most of the books follow about the same format. You can take a peek inside the books by clicking "Look Inside" and this is pretty much what you get in each book.It seems the format for this book and most of the Baby Professor books have a picture with a paragraph and facts on the page. Then the next page is just a photo. It would be nice if they had another paragraph on that page as well. But again; since many are free its hard to complain. This book especially seemed to be lacking because the pictures were almost repetitive. But overall; I do love the photos but it would be nice if the books went into more detail but they are very basic books that I hope will get my kids interested in finding more about each subject.I really like this particular ebook mostly because of the pictures of the elephants. I found myself mesmerized by several of the photos of these majestic animals.I plan on keeping these books on my iPad for down time for my kids when they get bored waiting different places like the doctors office or practice for a sibling. I entertain a friends 3 year old daughter sometimes and she finds it fun flipping through my phone and looking at pictures. As a teacher of elementary students; I would love to incorporate this ebook into a small group activity where I present a main idea or topic to the whole class and then they break up in small groups and discover more material on their own. My mind was continuously racing as I read through this book thinking of different projects I could make on this topic. It is the perfect age group to let them use a kindle to explore and what a better way to do so than with this ebook! As this book has beautiful; full colored; high detailed; photographs/pictures you may want to share with your kids and/or students as they can serve as point for further discussions or a way to develop language skill by promoting the children to express themselves about what they see and understand by looking at the photograph or picture. In this eBook; there are 18 pages. The book is laid out; showing a photo of the animal with a few quick facts. The following page is a new photo of the same type of animal. The book continues to read this way throughout. The info doesnrsquo;t overload their minds; yet allows them to announce their thoughts when someone peaks their interest. With every fact listed on the pages; I found that they were informative enough; but left a good amount of wiggle room for any inquisitive child you may have. My daughter is 5 and asks so many great questions throughout this book; and I am able to elaborate for her; with just a simple basic knowledge of Elephants and common sense. I have noticed throughout a few of the eBooks in this collection; that there are some larger terms that are unfamiliar and would be helpful as a parent reading these books to their child; or for a young child to read; if there happened to be parentheses nearby; showing the pronunciation of some of these words. I have definitely gotten a bit tongue tied with some of these. I donrsquo;t think I can elaborate much more on how vivid and stunning the photography is in these eBooks. I know it definitely makes a difference in keeping a young child engaged in wanting to see whatrsquo;s on the next page. I will mention that I have downloaded the collection of these short kid encyclopedias; so I will be sharing some very similar user experiences in each of those reviews; since they have the same features; except for the title and contents. I am giving this eBook a rating of 5 stars because I feel that the space in the book was utilized to its fullest; and wasnrsquo;t rushed like some of the other books in this collection seemed to be. The photos are amazing! I am glad that I got a chance to read this book to my kids.I received this at a discount in exchange for my honest and unbiased review
