There are countless little facts which most fans of JBDY might not know. The film makers themselves arent very interested in telling the story of the process; or maybe they dont see how it can help business. Very few are original enough to have a story in the first place. Kundan Shah is one of them for sure. Despite reluctance by the director; Jai Arjun Singh comes up with a well researched; well written; and visual record of the making of Indias most iconic black comedy. Its a film that almost didnt get made; and is the coming together of many coincidences. Over the years it has only gained a cult following; and remains more relevant today than in 1983. This book only enhances the pleasure of watching it for yet another time...
