Kindle version is not the best choiceBy _CustomerI downloaded the Wildlife Landscapes You Can Paint: 10 Acrylic Projects Using Just 5 Colors by author Wilson Bickford. I found the instructions clear and the information useful. Bickford covered topics such as:Working with AcrylicsReference PhotosThe Basics of ColorTransferring SketchesThe Kindle book has project patterns included claiming to be actual size. I suspect they are not actual size plus it is difficult to print out patterns using tablets or e-readers.For this reason I recommend purchasing the hard copy of this book rather than the Kindle version. Inspirational projects for beginner to experienced painter.By Nancy GroffThe author is also an experienced artist. He is proficient in several mediums including oil. acrylics and watercolors. I love the way that he makes things so easy. The book has 10 tutorials. which take the pupil from start to finish. It has nice illustrations as well as drawings of wildlife that the reader can use in their paintings.It has lovely projects. The author is well-known in the upstate NY area for his classes. He has tutorials available on YouTube. He has several dvds for sale with tutorials. He has a high quality line of artist products from brushes to colored gesso. Now he has a series on PBS. Mr. Bickford also has dvds from the series on PBS.The author takes the reader through the painting process step by step. He makes painting possible for everyone from the newest painter to the more experienced. His ideas are always fresh and innovating. His books and videos encourage young painters that they can paint. When I was learning to paint an even now. he was a tremendous inspiration. For anyone interested he has fan page on Facebook.Pros: Step by step. easy to follow intructions. Included are drawings that can be transferred to canvas (utilizing transfer paper which is not included.) Beautiful and inspiring paintings. Good information for beginners.Cons: The only con is that printing the designs from the kindle edition are a little tricky.
