Venti autori. However; because we (our county historical society) were trying to build a biographical story about crooks with ties to this area we found the book difficult to follow. I; and two others; read it and reread it; tried to look up things but it was kinda random. For instance; we could never figure out if Jimmy Creighton was responsible for bank robberies in Earlsboro and Harrah OK; in March of 1931 while he was; about the same time; murdering the businessman in Webb City; MO. He was accused of the robberies but we couldnt find anywhere that was later changed. We went to other sources to make sure that was what happened. Also; the index is not complete. It was hard to look up previous notes when the people; towns; etc were not in the index. We felt the book would have been much more readable and helpful in research to have been chronological. We got lost often.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Take a bow Mr. McCord!By R. D. MorganMonty McCords hard-hitting story of the 1931 Hastings bank job is one of best books concerning lawmen and outlaws of the Depression-Era to come down the pike in quite some time...Well written; ably researched and downright entertaining to boot...He certainly seems to have a feel for the times; the subject and best of all; he "Walked the ground" where the events occurred....Take a bow Mr. McCord.....R. D. Morgan; author of "Bad Boys of the Cookson Hills"...0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Exciting time in my Home town.By aquahomaVery exciting;spell binding; interesting.
