Fun to look at and I learned a lot about the area; too.1 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Pages from my pastBy Barbara J. RhoadsAs I read the book about the Upper Perkiomen; I remembered my youth and visiting my grandparents in Pennsburg. The buildings have changed since the 40s and 50s; but I still can picture the basic ones. My daughter and her husband live in East Greenville; so I see a succession of new buildings and businesses. I even can remember when my grandfather worked at Brunners Bakery. I wonder if Jerry Chiccarine used to work for SKF Industries. He really captured the essence of a real section of Montgomery County with the photos and postcards. Thanks.0 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Upper Perkiomen ValleyBy A. CurtisJerry has done another fine book depicting the images of the Upper Perkiomen Valley and its rich history. Having resided in both the Perkiomen Valley as well as the upper Perkiomen Valley I have enjoyed both of his complilations thoroughly.
