While reading about Rome trying to control the 12 Jewish tribes and other groups in the Middle East from 200 BC to 200 CE I had an insight that the U.S. is now in a somewhat similar situation trying to help/control the various branches of Islam. After centuries of war sponsored by a religion of love this book outlines a way of living that avoids alliance with the powers and principalities that take away loves power. At that point he was depicted as the victim of a violent death. Interestingly; the first crusades then began. Saving Paradise was very well researched by its authors to document the times that brought violence into a previously peaceful religion.
