For further information about the Mahavidya I highly recommend The Ten Great Cosmic Powers by SBy Miss PamThis was one of the first books I read about Kali. I found it frustrating to read because there were so many words I did not understand. I did find the chapter about the Ten Wisdom Goddesses really interesting. and ultimately transformative. At that point I gave up on reading this book and spending so much time looking up definitions. So now. some years later. as a devotee of Kali. I have returned to this book. to give it another try. And still. I have to spend a lot of time looking up Hindu words and concepts I know nothing about. The print edition cries out for a glossary or footnotes. Please.The Kindle version. however. makes for much easier reading and comprehension.For further information about the Mahavidya I highly recommend The Ten Great Cosmic Powers by S. Shankaranarayanan available here at . usually. It goes in and out of print. Sometimes its available from UK. I enjoyed the authors explanations of the Indian tradditions from firsthand experience. Sanskrit terminology difficult to understand. though. I would recommend this book to anyone who has been practicing yoga for awhile and is familiar with the Tantra path but would like to learn more.
